KANE CREDITS DUO FOR BIG IMPACT

 

Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane has credited two of his teammates for their impact on their dressing room as the North London giants continue to record good results especially in the Premier League. The England national team skipper talked about his teammates in the matchday programme for the week nine duel with visitors Manchester City on Saturday evening.

Harry Kane praised the experienced duo of Gareth Bale and Joe Hart for the big winning impact enjoyed in the Tottenham Hotspur dressing room since the start of the season. He said that their experience of winning trophies has been very good for the Spurs dressing room.

Joe Hart won two Premier League titles during his time with Manchester City, while Gareth Bale is a four-time Champions League winner in his time as a Real Madrid player. Welshman Bale scored in two of his four Champions League finals at Real Madrid.

English shot stopper joined Spurs on a free transfer in the summer. The ex-England first choice was at Burnleyfor the last two seasons until his contract ended in the summer. For Bale, the attacker returned to Spurs this summer on a season-long loan deal from Real Madrid. He left Tottenham Hotspur for Real Madrid for a reported £85.3m world-record deal as at then. He became a Real Madrid player in 2013.

Harry Kane and Spurs have been able to recover from the disappointing opening weekend defeat to Everton in the Premier League this season. Recently capped England international Dominic Calvert-Lewin scored the winning goal of the game as Everton secured a 1-0 away win over the North Londoners.

Spurs are now unbeaten in the last eight games in the league after the 2-0 win over title contenders Manchester City earlier this weekend. Harry Kane was not amongst the scorers but he provided the assist for the second goal scored by substitute Giovanni Lo Celso to add to the 5th minute strike by the in-form Son Heung-Min. South Korean international Son Heung-Min is the highest goalscorer in the Premier League with nine goals.

The win over Manchester City on Saturday took Spurs to the Premier League summit. Their ascent to the top of the table has been boosted by the goals and assists of Harry Kane. He has seven goals and nine assists in nine league games. The 27-year-old has also scored six goals in five Europa League matches. In total, he has 13 goals and nine assists in 15 matches in all competitions this season.
