Kingsley Coman is not concerned with the fact that Franck Ribery is ready to make a comeback.
It might result in Coman losing his spot in Bayern Munich’s starting line up, but, according to the young man, it’s always good for the side when there are plenty of options available.
Coman has featured in a total of 17 matches for the Bundesliga Champions in the ongoing season and has managed to find the back of the net 4 times.
He might not have played this regularly if Ribery had been fit, but, now by delivering consistently, he has created a headache for the Bayern management.
He is likely to get dropped in favour of Ribery’s experience, but, it would be a difficult call to make.
Speaking about Ribery in an interview, Coman said, “He is pretty close to full recovery and I would be really happy to see him come back and take the ground again.”
“Selection headache is not such a bad thing as it means you are not short of options. However, there is no rivalry between me and Frank. He is one of our senior players and I would be able to learn a lot spending time with him and seeing how he goes about his preparations.”
When asked if he had expected he would have so much of playing time in the initial stages of the season, the Frenchman said, “It’s been a delightful little period for me over here at Bayern. I would like to be thankful to the manager for that. He has shown so much of faith.”
“As the weeks go by, I am starting to feel more and more confident. I am expressing myself without the fear of getting dropped. I have had plenty of support from the players as well. Everybody has been fantastic to me.”
